On the 3rd beta tune now...

Just loaded SW#1 from beta 3 and went around the block, NO SMOKE!!... well a little at 1000 rpms in 6th at 30 mph

2700 feet, 61*, about 65% humidity... Just real light acceleration like normal and saw zero smoke... Very happy.. will report more as I get a few more miles on it.

I have an 04.5 and i just put on a smarty jr. and it smokes a LOT. i'm a little concerned that all that unused fuel will hurt my mpg's. what exactly does the beta tunes do? my email is [email protected]. Thanks!

The beta tunes are just test tunes to see if the programing gets the desired results.

Email Bob or send him a PM and try out a beta, #4 is great.

Just got back from a 200 mile trip using beta 3. Considerable less smoke while cruising and seemed to get a little better MPH. This was just observing the overhead, not hand calculated. Still rolls some smoke when you nail it from a stop. Only loaded the 70HP tune, will try the 40 when i fill up.

I wouldn't tow in SW#3 w/out a clutch, but yes it will clean up the smoke.

on the new software and your 2004 the smoke should be next to nothing.

Unless you lug it you will not see any smoke... I don't see a thing towing my TT under normal driving.

If you lug it on a 100* day you can make it look like a freight train.
