be careful continuing to run the truck that sounds like the same message that pipeguy got on his truck and run it for a few more days until it finally shut its self down and even the Dodge dealer couldnt fix it had to get a new ECM shipped from Chrysler. But no you cant turn the dpf off until you have your smarty and download the ME software and then load it to your truck then you can take it off and throw it through the dealers you bought it from's big plate glass showroom window with a note that says here is the module that needed replaced
