Just looking for opinions from the turbo guru's. I'm currently running the phat shaft 62/80. I'm wondering if I have enough fuel to support a Silver Bullet or something similar to clean things up a bit.

Thanks.

Hmm ... Thats a tough one. You should have enough, but it will be laggy ... May want to add some more fuel to the fire

I've been reading through some other threads and it looks like the "Bullet" may be too laggy for my needs. I guess I'll call II and see what they say. Maybe a Super Phat or Silver 62 would fit the bill. I'm trying to avoid an air/fuel see-saw battle...:lol3:

Your not going to clean up with the bigger charger.... things will be worse until you get it lit. Once lit you will be clean, but the lag period will be extended due to more mass to spin.

How tight is your torque converter?

Currently running a Dunrite triple disc.
What RPM does your converter stall at? Dunn Rite Builds them many ways.... so if you were doing a power brake, what RPM do you see it start loading down at and then again at what RPM will it hold your current power?

Turbo's with Auto Transmissions will all react differently depending on the converter.

The 80mm Exhaust housing that is in you Phat Shaft is the same exhaust housing your gonna get with a SB or SPS charger, granted the wheel size may be different but as things are now the turbo should spool sooner now, which should clean you up sooner.... I would think you should be complaining of High EGT's if the turbo was too small not smoke.
