when I was working for a chrysler dodge dealership here in maine some vehicals would go into a partial torque converter shudder at that speed and it kind of makes sense with what you are describing because when you take your foot off the gas pedal it disengauges torque converter until a higher speed is seen by ecm , less load on vehical to lock converter I may be way off track but it possible, and by the way the dealer that is telling you that they cant duplicate the problem ,that is one of the oldest lines in a flat rate shop if they dont want to spend time looking for your complaint I see it to many times thats why I went independent i wish you good luck with that dealer

:confused013:the other thing that happens when it gets low on rpms is pump presure in trans drops off and it could be a combined reaction to converter/pump pressure making it shudder it would be nice to hear frm someone who has already done a upgrade to see what its like now

I spoke to suncoast and ats today they both say the same thing about converters and transmission, the converters are not able to handle the additional power of any tuner that makes good power(over 100) and hp gain that we all hear about is nothing compaired to the monster torque these 6.7s make at low rpms and low rpms = low line/pump pressure there is a controler that ats is working on that will adjuwst pressure , lock up and down shift, expected to be ready for 8/09 but we all know how time tables can change as far as reliablty on 68rfe suncoast said there a weak trasmission ats said there a mid grade transmission ,guess it all depends on what the applcation is but a converter will cure shudder were getting when lock up accures durring low rpms its the same problem that the 48s had just at a lower rpm with more ratios to chose from and more torque

So i Compcowboy suggested to me to unplug the EGR and run like this to see if that would take care of the shutter. Well from the testing i did yesterday i would say yes it did take care of the shuttering. Best i can figure is that when cruising down the road and rolling into the throttle the EGR system is not backing off enough to let more oxygen back into the system. :confused013: Maybe it is something in the flash that isnt working correctly with that system.
are you running a 68rfe?
