My company an automotive parts supplier has facilities in Cottondale and they are proposing me a job offer.
Is 90 000 a good salary in the area? I wont get overtime.:confused013:
Can I live comfotably on that?:confused013:
I want a nice place and some property and have coin for toys.:drool2:
Good and bad about the area?

Thanks for taking the time.

I have no idea what the Cottondale area is like.
My Boss says the company location will be moving to Bessemer.

Crime states are quite high for the national average!!
Noticed forcible rape is high. Is there a non forceable rape?

Anyway I am going to be talking with a real estate agent to look into homes. Im after a real nice home with about 5 or more acres. Need an out building to for the toys and hobbies.

youll be fine anywhere as long as its not in birmingham. those rates are basically the birmingham area. places like bessemer, hoover, riverchase, mountianbrook, etc.. are really nice areas and beautiful homes btw.

cottondale is right outside of tuscaloose so im not sure on that cause tuscaloosa really is a nice town. I go to alabama games there all the time. I still think thats birmingham stuff. Beautiful women in tuscaloosa btw.

As long as you stay away from downtown bessemer you will be fine. I am in hoover and 20 min from bessemer and very little crime here. what kind of bike do you have? If you ride a harley plenty of guys to ride with. Others idk abt

Well I bought a nice house in McCalla.
I ride a Harley Road Glide Ultra.

Im also curious about large mud trucks.
I have a mud truck with 44" tires, are these allowed on the road in Alabama?

I will likely get my trippple turbos installed once I settled in McCalla !!!

Congats bro, welcome to alabama. I'm from south florida. Live up north of you in arab. I also brought up a big mud truck,blazer on rockwells and tractor tires. Its in south carolina at my brothers. Couldn't find and body to wheel with so he has it. Its too wide for most trails up here..
As for 44 in tires on the roads around here? In my next of the wood dont see too many big trucks. My dodge is one of the biggest truck i see around here, and it only on 35's. agian welcome to alabama.

As long as your headlights are no higher than 54" and taillights 60" u will be ok. but good luck finding a cop whos gonna check it. I ride a road glide also. pm me and we will ride one day. There is a ride with hog nuts mc leaving from tannehill benefiting leukemia sat if you are interested. I would be riding in it but scooter is in shop getting cam chain tensioners installed. Getting ready for a Key West ride a month from today. also there is a rally in locust fork this weekend called boogie bottoms always a good time and plenty of nekkid women. some you wanna see..... some you dont
