Well i finaly picked up some tires(35x12.50x17 Toyo MT) and i need a leveling kit, i want a good kit not just spacers, i was thinking og going the Kore route, but i have heard awful things about there customer service and shipping:banghead:but don't know if i'll have the $1200+ for the Carli kit? So what would you guys do, or maybe there are other options i don't know about? Thanks guys!

i like my 3" kore springs. I bought them new off the classifieds on this board for $220 shipped . I bought bilstein 5100 shocks online for $150 and i do not have a front sway bar so i didn't need end links. The truck rides a TON better on city street and our unpaved country roads.

If i'd known about thuren's springs, i would have bought the coils new from him to support his biz. I bought his track bar and it was very well made and he is great to deal with. check out his new $289 springs here: .: THUREN FABRICATION :. 2003-2009 CTD COILS

good luck.

Take a look at the Carli leveling kit then. Its less $$$ than the starter kit you referenced.

Kore has a progressive rate coil that is stiff and then gets really stiff before it bottoms. Great for offroading in the big stuff but not so great everyday on road.

Thuren is coming out with a linear rate coil that is soft the whole way through. Soft ride but will need more shock valving (stiffer) to prevent bottoming. Don recomends using his DYSKO bumps in conjunction with his springs to further prevent bottoming.

Carli uses a progressive rate coil that is soft for street use and light offroading and then firms up to prevent bottoming. Its a great combination of street ride and offroad performance.

Take a look at all 3 and decide what set fits your need and price point best.

I personally like to stay with shocks/springs from one builder/fabricator since they know the best valving profiles to use with their spring rates to get the best ride/performance for the end user.

That being said Don has valved tons of King shocks to use with Carli coils. The Stage 3 valving should give you a good balance of street ride and offroad performance. Tell him want you want to do with your truck and he'll help you pick the right stage valving for a great performing set up.

I would also look at the Carli Kings/towers. They are a little more expensive but you do get their awesome billet towers and proprietary Carli pistons in the Kings that will give you many of the performance benefits of the Bilstein 2.65s

Can i find out shipping on their website? I know that Kore charges a bunch for shipping but, i don't think its enought to break even on buying a Carli kit? I would love to have Carli, but can't muster up that kind of cash right now!

Then go with kore. I would say buy from one of their dealers but kent kroker has screwed over lots of them so they are pretty much non existent.

Go on their site and hit Race Shop. Pick out your item and fill out the online purchase order. Checkout your shopping cart and the shipping should be shown. You can then decide if it's for you. Personally,I'd be patient, save a little more money and go Carli. They'll be there for you after sale.

just so you know, i paid a g for my kore kit front and rear because of the shipping for a little more carli is that much better. the kores are a great buy over anything stock but they are rough great for big bumps and offroading but not that street friendly, like driving in an empty f-450 really stiff.

If you can wait and want a more capable kit, I'm upgrading in February. Im getting rid of the front Kore springs, rear deaver mini pacs, Thuren custom vlaved 2.5Kings front and rear, Thuren Towers, and Thuren dual heim sway bar end links. I'm selling it pretty cheap. Shoot me a PM if your interested.
