I have stubby antenna and it doesn't pickup reception good at all. What other options is there for a short antenna?

I had the same experience with the 'Stubby' as you, either poor or no reception. It now lives on a shelf in the garage. I ended up cutting my stock antennae down and it works & looks great. Should have gone this route initially.

I bought one that looks like a 50 caliber round off Amazon and it works fine.

You can remove the ball from your stock antenna, cut it down to the size of your choice taper the tip and re-install the ball. Did it on my 4G 1500.
