Shooting for 24 MPG only got 22
When gas hit $4 a gallon last year my 454 powered Chevy had to go, only getting 7 mpg. I bought a nice used 06 Mega Cab. Stock it was getting 20.1 mpg empty and 14.0 towing 5000# trailer. After researching the internet I added a Quadzilla X2 65 HP tow module, an S&B CAI, and found a cheap Aero Turbine 4040 on Craigslist and 6' of 4" tubing. Also changed the oil to 5w40 synthetic. Now its getting 22.0 empty and an amazing 17.3 towing (all hand calculated) for under $800. Now how to get to 24 without breaking the bank.

Keep your max speed and/or average cruising speed down about 10mph from normal and continue with the same driving habits. Also keep your t/c locked when possible if you have an auto.
