Just before my truck stops it SHIMMIES or shakes or whatever..
thought it was my cluthc , but it does it even when it is not in gear... it is right before it stops... within seconds and it does it for a secodn or two...

looked at brake pads.. and rotors.. the pads are new.. @ 10k on them.. rotors feel smooth and are still very thick.. so I don't think they are warped...

anyone have any clue as to what the cause of this is?

How about the steering stabilizer shock or trac bar?

alll look ok.. nothing leaking out of the stabalizer..


I thought maybe ball joint... but how do you know if they are bad??

don;t you see if the tire will wobble back and forth with it off the ground?? tried that... nothing really...
greased it and it extended ( expanded).. for lack of a better discription.

With it off from the ground and a large pry bar under the tire, look for movement up and down in the ball joints.

nothing to get excited about...

I am going t take it in and get tire rotated and balance...

just seems funny the only sign is just before stoping.

There isn't a bunch of mud collected on the inside of the rim's is there?

good thought, but No... I pulled both wheels off and they are clean.
