:banghead:

I just sheared the small bolt on top of the injector from the valve cover gasket. There is still a small amount of threads sticking out. Without having to spend over $300 on a new injector, anyone know if I can solder or JB Weld the connection onto the post?

I need my truck up and running!

Everytime I've done that its cost me big time. Were you loosening or tightening?

I was tightening it down. Didn't think I was doing it too hard and then it broke loose.

Thankfully, picked up a new injector. Ouch!

Ok, I took everyone's suggestion and turned the nut upside down and put red thread lock on it. It's tight.

How long did you let it cure before driving? It says 20 mins and then 24 hrs for fire cure. Did you wait for 24 hrs?

if you don't have a torque wrench for the injector wiring studs, use only a 2" long wrench and your little finger straight. when finger bends =s enough. these aren't a lug nut on a log truck.

I know that now! I was using the finger wrench and then snugged up with the 2" wrench.

What you need to use if you dn't have a torque wrench is a screw driver with the nut ends. If i remember its on;y like 6 to 8 inlbs of torque
