I'm trying to track down a few codes on my 2012 RAM since it's a 2012 it doesn't use DEF one of the code is P2000 NOX Absorber Efficiency Below Threshold this is permanent! The others I can clear but they come back after about 100 miles. P014C O2 sensor slow response rich to lean. The sensors Marked in Yellow I know are the O2 sensors what are the 3 I marked in Red? I don't think it has a NOX sensor because it doesn't use DEF (2012 Last year DEF free)

IIRC isn’t bank1 and bank2 across from one another in and out on the Nox Catalyst canister?

Do you know what canister is the Nox one? There seems to be 3 canisters one right after the turbo then a large one and a smaller one before the muffler. It never used/had a DEF device on its year so I'm completely lost as to what one is what? A Diesel parts store said I have a NOX sensor but I can't find one were they say it's supposed to be? I ran my hand up the pipe all the way to the Turbo nothing there. Just the smaller canister. Information on the factory exhaust on this year is hard to find.

It’s your largest one.
Downpipe Cat. Then Nox, then DPF then little offset muffler/resonator at the arse end nearest the tailpipe.

Do you know what sensor would trigger the P2000 NOX ? I'm fairly sure it doesn't have a NOX sensor based on what I've looked for. I'm going to pull Both O2 sensors tomorrow and clean them. Probably replace them it's cheaper than paying a dealership. Even if it's not them. The P2000 is permanent I do get a resettable P014C (O2 sensor slow response) that comes back after about 50-60 miles. I'm hoping its just dirty O2 sensors. But I don't understand why the P2000 when it doesn't have a NOX sensor?

That’s why I mention bank one and bank two on opposite sides maybe together those will create that code if it’s not seeing what it wants to.
Spitting here since it’s a Nox canister.

Did you have the TSB done about replacing your wiring harness? Something about the connections and gage size etc. I had one sent to me on my truck, but everything was gone by then.

I don't know if it was done. I found info about this looking at the harness I can't tell if its been replaced? I'm probably the second owner. Only had it for a year now. There is a Dealership sticker under the hood that the computer was reflashed years ago. It only has some numbers on it . When I asked 2 dealerships if they knew what was done they said only the dealership that did it would have a record of it? I'm not sure if thats True? Or they just don't want to look it up for me

You can do both I’m just trying to throw you a few bones to help out. You may get your answer, or confirm what we’ve discussed.
As for the dealer normally anything they do on the truck, your Vin number is used and stored, etc. especially for a TSB.
My 2-cents fellow Cummins owner.
Sorry if I have thrown you off track.

Here’s one I quickly read out of the link I provided for you.

I think you’re on the right track to clean them and they are the o2 sensors that are on bank one and bank two.

it's cool I'm really good with GAS vehicles modem Diesel im lost that last I worked on them was in the 90s before all this emissions nonsense. I've been tempered to do a delete but with how they are cracking down it and seeing a kid from NJ had to destroy his truck when the state found out. Im not sure if I want to take that risk. My state doesn't do a full inspection state wide yet but it could happen soon .

I pulled and cleaned the upsteam O2 sensor broke the lock on the clip 🥺 it also doesn't look like the harness was replaced per the TSB so I'll have to buy and install one it's a lot of wires. They are around $75.00 I was able to keep the plug together with some zip ties for now. Don't know if cleaning it helped yet ? Takes about 50 continues miles to trigger the CEL. Tomorrow I'll get 2 sensor if I can find them and a new O2 sensor removal tool the one purchased spread open on me taking the first one out. What did I expect for a $5 tool? I'll update as I go if I get it fixed or give up and let a dealership rob me 💰💰💰💰
