I don’t usually wrench much with SAE sized fasteners. I wanted to adjust my bumper the other day and realized I don’t have a good enough selection of deep impact sae sockets.

The bumper nuts were 11/16. Standard depth sockets wouldn’t fit.

But what other large sae fasteners are common on these trucks for stuff like suspension, brakes, etc? I will survey the truck but figured some might know what they commonly have to use.

I have good US made standard depth sockets, really what I’d like to know is what larger size impact sockets I should keep an eye out for.

a few, list of variables, what nut or bolt specifically, year, model, any yahoo shade tree work done by a previous owner.

For those larger sockets, I just buy them as needed from tractor supply.

Mine definitely didn’t. Needed an 11/16”. 18mm was too loose!

Is that a difference between US and Mexico-made trucks?

Should not be unless they were changed or the nut is rusted?
