  • Faulty injectors – stuck open.
  • Worn piston rings or cylinder glazing
  • Water or coolant in the cylinder
  • Bad Grid heater if its cold out, but probably not a white smoke issue
Does the white smoke go away after the motor has warmed up.
No it will not go away it has 150,000 miles
It starts instantly every time but with a bad idle
The pump is suppose to have been remanufacterd so maybe it could be out of time

White smoke indicates you are burning diesel…my guess is it’s an injector and killing one or more of your cylinders…take the head off and check all the ohms on your injector to see which one is shooting bad. Don’t sit on it either before it does more damage.

Take the head off and ohm what???? Unless I'm missing something, we are talking a 12-valve, not a common rail...

Does it make popping sounds as you rev it up? May have slipped timing if the pump is reman. and recently installed.
