do them opposites, start at the center of the head, get it tight first, then go to right side, then left side, move to next ones etc. then work from front to back, you can tq around 115-120 ft/lb some do 125 but thats the point where they may shear off... fire it up let it warm up, then go in and retorque again, do it in small increments, at first, and work your way to desired... running it in between torquing...

I was also thinking about just retorqueing my stock head bolts I heard many people having good luck doing this but after thinking it over a bit I ended up just putting some ARPs in.. Either way let us know wat you decide and how it turns out...

i thought the head bolts were torque to yeild, a la ford style but not as crappy. Thought you had to replace them if they get to the point of needing re torque. At least thats what i read. Need to find that link

i retorqued mine to 115 ft lbs. i took mine out one at a time from the center out and put anti seize on each one. i went 90 ft lbs on each one, then from there i went in 5 ft lb until i got to 115.

They are! If your going to retorque the stock bolts, atleast by new ones. I thnik there like $3.50 each. You might end up with less clamp than you started with if the bolts strech. New studs can be had for less than $400 so only $300 more than new bolts. To me thats more than worth it for the piece of mind.
