I'm a newbie to the mechanical world, first time I've ever torn down an engine was the last few days and I'm stumped as to how to remove the IP. I've got everything else off the damn block but it. Is there a special puller needed?
That big nut you see, on the top gear needs to come off, then use a gear puller to pull the gear. The pump will come out the back, once you remove the bolts. I hope you lined up the timing marks first.
Also tab that KDP, it looks like it's already out about 1/2 inch. Thats the pin above the cam gear.
