I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 6.7 cummins. I plugged the ERG crossover pipe and removed the throttle valve butterfly plate. All components are still plugged in, but after driving 1/4 mile I got a throttle valve light and CEL. Why am I getting these lights as all components are still connected?
The ecm isn't seing the change that these items create. If it was as easy as disconnecting the mechanical parts and leaving it all plugged in then everyone would do it and not buy a tuner.
