I just put a FASS pump on my truck. I still have the stock filter and pump on the block. I would like to know if I can remove the stock pump and filter. If I can what do I do with the sensors that are connected to it? I noticed the water in fuel sensor, and I am not sure what else is there..

any thoughts?

you can remove all of the stock parts just noplug the sensors tape the ends up and tuck them out of the way.

If you do remove the stock filter canister BE SURE to reinstall the 2 canister bolts with some spacers or washers back into the head... otherwise big boost leak!!!

Ok, I'm an idiot. :w: For what ever reason I thought the bolts for the factory fuel filter housing went into the intake, and not through the intake into the block. Moral of the story I got my missing 3 lbs of boost back. Thanks speedtriple, and aren't forums great!

I installed the FASS 150 on my truck a few weeks ago, I ran the fuel line into the factory fuel filter housing and made use of the stock filter as well as the two on the FASS pump. I still see 15-18 PSI with that filter in use. I didn't want to have to remove the factory housing and didn't want to re-do the pressure sender for the Edge Juice which was plumbed into the inlet side of the VP44 (where the FASS fuel line would have gone into). Just an idea if you haven't already removed it. I didn't have to buy any extra parts to hook it into the filter housing, it was all the same pieces that would go into the VP44.
