Do these trucks regen while idling?

Today I pulled into the drive thru to pick up a coffee with the wife, and we noticed a horrible odour from the exhaust. I know from past experience this is the smell of the truck in a regen cycle. I felt bad because there were people in front of me and a line up behind me and it was a really strong smell. The truck reeked like something awful was burning! I could see the lady behind me making a funny face and keeping her distance. A little embarrassing because I couldn't do anything about it.

They sure will, the 13's will kick on the EB to bring up exhaust temps not sure if the 12s will do that or not.

Ya used to hear my 12 idle up a little bit and whistle away as it regened while I was fueling up machines. Haven't had that problem for a long time tho lol.

Based on my 7 years experience owning two of these trucks both with Edge Insights, I've found it will regen while in gear at idle, not in neutral or park. The dealer can program the truck to do a "forced regen" for their use but it's not available to owners. It will regen at idle in gear as long as the temps remain high enough to complete the cycle (usually at the very end of the cycle). If it doesn't finish, it will start again when you start driving and temps allow.
