Been a hot minute since I posted on here and I wanted to pick some of ya'll's brains. The ole' Mega-Stein was down for a long time due to breaking the TCS Input shaft, I opted to rebuild the transmission myself following along with a very detailed YouTube video, ATSG Manual and Firepunks build process. Went back together with a Sonnax Billet Input, Firepunk rebuild kit, bearings, new low/reverse drum, new OD drum etc. All clearances and end play set to either ATSG spec or what Firepunk calls for.
The damage done, repairs and rebuild finished......Those billet shafts are sharp a F*ck!

Transmission has been great but I have two questions that I can't seem to find a solid answer too.
A) I installed an Edge CTS3 at the same time and have the Gear/TCL on screen so I can see what gear I am sitting in and lock up apply. I noticed, for example, when in Second gear at lower speeds if I let off the throttle and coast the truck the CTS3 will show the transmission go into 3rd or sometimes even 4th gear. When it's coasting and showing 4th gear with light throttle input it will shift into 3rd, with moderate to heavy input it will jump back into 2nd and then continue normal shift pattern all the way to 4th Lock-up. Does this sound normal? I am under the impression it is, truck doesn't drive any different than before the rebuild but I have one guy telling me that is not normal for these transmissions and another guy saying it is.

B) I was experiencing a soft 2-3 shift prior to the rebuild, It's better now but I am still experiencing a soft 2-3 shift compared to the other shifts....Line pressure is 198 (I'm gonna lower it to 190 @ break-in service). TCS billet servo, accumulator, suncoast billet low/reverse servo and Trans-go shift kit. I did not change the metal rings on the TCS stuff because Firepunk didn't have it in stock at the time and they still looked new (paint still on rings). 9 Springs in direct drum and clutch clearances .75 by hand or .88 w/ air. Is there a problem or is this normal? I have read that 2-3 shift in these 48's can be soft to the point you don't even feel it shift at low throttle.
Thanks in advance for any help! The truck is far from being done but she has come a LONG way, I'm definitely confident DD'ing her now.
