Rear sensor off at startup?

Yesterday we were getting back into the truck and I put it in reverse and an alert " reverse sensor off" on the display and the button was lit.

I pushed it several times, held it down, double checked settings on screen and it never went away.

4 miles down the road it went back to normal (sensor on) and the button light went out.

Any ideas?

Mine has done that but only when i have a trailer plugged into the harness
