I dont think there is any difference in the axles between the 2500 and 3500. Only difference is the springs.

For pre-2010 trucks, I believe the only difference was an overload spring on the leaf pack. The axle is an AAM 11.5 14-Bolt for both the 2500 and 3500. I don't know about the 2010's...SC

Thanks guys.....maybe the non cummins 2500's have the 10.5. I know the gasser GM's do.

I am just trying to decide if I should go 2500 or 3500.......I don't really need the 3500 towing capacity so sounds like the 2500 is the right choice. Thanks again.
