my buddy has an 2000 24 valve cummins with to many mods to write up. the other day he just had a huge puddle of coolant on the ground. we think its leaking out of the back of the head. just wondering if anyone could tell me anything or if the head gasket might be leaking.
thanks

I know theres a line running to the very back of the head. Dry it all off with rags turn it on and lay under it with a flashlight. You need a better sense of where its comming from. It could just be blowing to the back of the motor while driving. Or the heater hoses going to the firewall.

Look for a very small freeze plug in the back passenger side of the head. They tend to leak sometimes.

What about the dreaded #53 block that has cracked. the crack would be on the pass side and if its an auto its behind the tranny cooler
