Well my raptor should be here this week and I was wondering how hard is the install.I keep reading different things.I don't have the in-tank pump on my '99.Do I have to drop the tank or not? Some say yes some say no.I'm not the greatest mechanic but I can do routine maintainence and have installed several lift kits on my previous trucks. So can I do this or should I be lining up a shop to do this ASAP?Also my gauges are coming this week-should I install gauges first or the raptor? Thanks everybody.

it is an easy install, you dont have to drop tank unless doing the draw straw just as stated above, if you take the old life pump off the motor make sure to get a chevy small block fuel pump block off plate to bolt over the hole, the wiring is really easy, you may want to put gauges in first so you know what fuel pressure your running at so you can adjust it up or down

Easy install as said above. You'll have to slink up into the drivers side wheel well to access the fuel line and it's difficult to see much up there on top of the tank without a mirror but it certainly can be done without otherwise messing with the tank. If you are very broad shouldered you might want to inlist the help of a slim buddy to help you here. Removing the fuel line is the trickiest part of the job, you want to remove the line with the blue keeper on it. I advise using a little zip tie to hold the 'ears' of the keeper while you pull the line off.

Push the line in.......zippy tie the tabs........pull the line out (this may take some effort)
