Hey guys,

Two things...

I currently have a Raptor 100 on the truck with half inch hoses from the tank to the VP. If it dies (not saying "when" because I'm trying to be positive), I would replace it with a FASS Titanium 95.. so I'm curious if I can just buy the pump and not the whole "kit". Does the FASS use the same quick connect fittings? In other words, will it just be a matter of unplugging/unbolting the Raptor and bolting/plugging in the FASS and running the new power lines?

Also.. I found a guy not too far away that's selling an older Edge EZ for $200obo - specifically for the 2001 model year (says right on the sticker). I do not have any tranny work done yet - but I've read that the stock 47RE "should" be able to handle an EZ so long as I don't beat on it. I understand that "should" is the key word here.. (*disclaimer* I'm a 33 year old with wife and son.. so I'm long past the "racing around like a maniac" stage we all go through as teens - haha.) I'm just looking to "wake the Cummins up" - as so many have described - and have that bit extra when I'm towing the 25' fifth wheel around 2-3 times in the summers.. although it's mainly a daily driver for me, so I'm also hoping to get a bit better fuel economy (not expecting anything drastic). Does this sound reasonable? In the research I've done, people have also mentioned that an Edge Comp "not tapped" is the same as an EZ.. should I just go that route right away? I have no intentions of getting too carried away with HP/Torque numbers.. IF I decide to do more.. realistically I'm thinking if I can get a Revmax tranny down the road, and get the 2nd gen making around the same HP/Torque #'s as a new stock 2500, that would be completely fine with me.

Thanks in advance!

I just did that exact changeover. A lot of the fittings are the same, but the kit made the job so much easier. I have some parts leftover, but I'd get the kit again.

I just installed my edge comp last week pump wire tapped, I had it on 5X5 for the first week, now I keep it on 2x5 (60hp ). my mileage jumped up another 2mpg. even on 2 I still noticed a difference from stock. but yes an un-tapped comp will add right around 60hp like edge EZ

Awesome, thanks!

Is your tranny still stock? How's it holding up?

I have the edge comp and its tapped into the pump, ran it on 5x5 for the first week or so but left it on 2 after that just so the truck wasn't doggy and had some boost fooler for mpgs.

Now that i put 150 injectors in it I leave it at 1 with the sub level on 1 just for the boost fooling.

Only time i crank it to 5 is when a Mustang needs to be shut up :spank:

MAIN LEVELS

1 - 40 HP
2 - 60 HP
3 - 80 HP
4 - 100 HP
5 - 120 HP

Note: The higher the main level the more aggressive the timing curve plus fueling curve so it best to stay as high as possible.

SUBLEVEL

1. 33% of stock fuel till 20 PSI of boost
2. 50% of stock fuel till 15 PSI of boost
3. 67% of stock fuel till 10 PSI of boost
4. Some extra fuel at low boost
5. Full fuel at zero boost.

Note: this is where you control your smoke level. 1-3 are defueling modes and will decrease smoke. 4-5 are pure power levels.

As for MPG's I found that the higher you can stay on both the better off you are for daily driving and MPG's but with your 150 HP injectors your going to have to use quite a bit of defuel mode to control the smoke.

You could turn the box completely off and still boost fool. It about building a tune that is optimal for daily driving an MPG and then build another for illegal street racing.

my trans is still stock for the time being (hopeing to make it through winter) I keep the box on 2x5 and its been holding up pretty good. I don't really romp on the pedal too much just because I don't want to have to build the trans yet.
