What short Antenna are yall using? I've purchased a couple different ones including the latest one by Robin and the reception is awful. Is there a hidden antenna that works or what short ones are yall using that actually pick up the radio stations like the stock one..

Thanks

Full length stock one for me, having an antenna never really bothered me, and i've yet to see a small one that actually produces similar reception to a full length one

I got a cheap 50 cal bullet on mine off Amazon. Looks good and works ok. I don’t listen to the radio though, it’s either Sirius or Spotify. I just did it for the look.

I miss having a real antenna.

I know on the GMs they'll lay the antenna under the cowl, since their antennas go up through the cowl rather then the fender and it still gets the job done. But doing something like that on one of our trucks would require body work after to fill in a hole and repaint.

i only listen to the radio in my trucks but prefer the cleaner look, so this mattered to me. the only way to completely shave/hide the antenna would be to do body work on the fender to smooth over the factory mount.

my 99 GMC was easy (as mentioned above) in that i simply made a bracket to lay the factory antenna down along the top of the fender - concealed by the edge of the hood. that kept decent FM reception but degraded AM due to the ground plane geometry change, from what i understand.

i bought a 13" copper core "Votex Spartan" antenna for my 18 dodge, and it does pretty good for both AM & FM (only slight reception range decrease from stock - more so with AM than FM). as expected, it still picks up a little better than the similarly-built 6" ones i have on my corvette & wife's hummer.

The factory antenna twanged on the garage door, so i needed a shorty. Went with the AntennaMastsRUs 6 3/4 copper core. I get the same reception as factory in a rural area,
