What are my options for better breathing and mileage without increasing noise. Straight pipeing is out of the question. Planning just a new muffler and 4" tailpipe.

Get a hushpower. Mine's dead quiet inside and has a great tone and turbo whistle outside.

Hushpower is a great piece, we use it with STACK KIts regularly when there is a lot of highway travel and owner of the truck needs to be able to talk on the cell phone alot. They work great, and if your willing to talk your situation over we offer a money back guarantee on them.

This is a recent thread where it was the answer.....

hushpower

I've had my Hushpower muffler on for a week now and I really like it. I didn't mind the straight stacks at all but living in town the neighbors weren't too happy. It is quiet in the cab with the windows up but has a good sound when gettin' on it, and no drone. I'm probably full of it but seems my tubo lights alittle quicker?................Brad

I just installed the Hushpower II 19101 on my '05 and I am very unhappy with the drone. The truck sounds good outside but at 2100-2300 RPM it vibrates the rearview mirror and you cant hardly talk in the cab. I guess that would be ok if that wasn't the speed that I drive at the most. I am going to try the Donaldson and see if it is better.

To bring this thread back to life, I have a 5" tbe with fte resonator. I bought the 5" hushpower and I got to looking under my truck trying to see the best spot to put it and I dont have alot of choices if any on somewhere i can put it. The 5" has made everything closer of course and with a big muffler like the hushpower Iam not finding anywhere with enough clearance to put it on. Anybody else with a 2nd gen that has a 5" tbe have this problem? Thanks for any help.
