The written report that I was given after my truck was in for the last time stated that the truck would not regen while using cruise control.

The report also stated that it had to be driven between 50 and 60 mph. It's fun trying to keep that 350 hp monster under 60 mph without using cruise. And, from what I've experienced, a whole lot of other drivers really appreciate my driving 10 to 20 mph slower than them. Of course, you only have to drive it that way for 45 minutes or so.
