Does anybody know for a fact if the truck will regen while using cruise control or do i need to leave cruise off to go into regen?

well i guess that sucks for me. already had my turbo cleaned once, probably gonna happen again. i drive from AL to SC twice a month, and while in SC, I haul equipment for a family member. but on the 5 hour drive to and from, i always use cruise. I wonder why they wouldn't allow the egr system to go into regen while using cruise? I know I am developing plenty of heat at 75-80MPH. Go Figure...

The report also stated that it had to be driven between 50 and 60 mph. It's fun trying to keep that 350 hp monster under 60 mph without using cruise. And, from what I've experienced, a whole lot of other drivers really appreciate my driving 10 to 20 mph slower than them. Of course, you only have to drive it that way for 45 minutes or so.

Mine will regen with the CC on at pretty much any speed however I'm still on the AU flash.

I just did around 900 miles at 65mph (most of it with the CC on) I lost track of the number of regens I had but did ok on the fuel mileage.

Just bought mine and drove from Houston to OK, I have the Attitude on it. It regened 4 times with the cruise on. Now that I have it home it received all recalls and updates.

How can I tell when it goes into the regen? I have put on 14000 miles in the last 3 months and havent noticed anything yet.
I have the same question, I only have 8K on my 6.7 and I couldn't tell you if it has ever went into Regen, except when I took it in for the last flash, the mechanic said they ran it through?

How can you tell when or if it's in Regen. I'm very curious, because I'm the hardest on my truck, because I have a 4 mile commute, so a ton of start and stop, which I know isn't good.

The mechanic at the dealer told me it would not regen on cruise and to drive 50 to 60 mph and it will regen. I have driven on cruise and it will regen at any speed......go figure.

Observations from my truck on the AU flash - there shouldn't be any regen at idle however if you happen to be in a regen required state with a regen in progress when you come an idle state the EGR will remain closed (giving that fuel knock / rattle sound) and the latent heat in the DPF will make the exhaust hot enough to ignite stuff but there shouldn't be any fuel dosing occurring so the manifold EGTs will be 'normal' if you're at idle with sustained 1200+ manifold EGTs then something is wrong.

According to my Edge monitor, the truck will regen at any time that the truck is in drive. But when I throw it into park regen turns off.

I have my DPF and EGR removed, I went into straight pipe regen. Lots of power!!!! and white smoke. Exhaust sounds like a circular saw at idle, still it threw fuel at the turbo idling.

I have a C&C, less complicated emission system.

I was fueling up 1 night and heard it change tune, went around to the tail pipe and exhaust coming out under pressure and super hot.... like being behind a fan

That was the 2nd time that happened, the 1st time it happened i was talking with my friend for a little while truck idling and a/c on, we were in the path of the exhaust tip and all of a sudden it became blown out and hot, we both said holy sxxt we could cook off that sob tail pipe...no need for a damned portable bbq...just a grill in front of that

What the heck is regen?
Regen is the process in which these trucks inject diesel into the exhaust causing enough heat to Burn out the soot buildup in the filters.
