i couldnt be happier with my smarty :peelout .. the tnt tune is a 230hp program for guys with built trannies and bigger turbos.. there is also a tnt-r program that allows the truck to go to 4,000 rpm... i dont have a a pressure box because im waiting for the revo programing to come out but lots of guys have been happy with a mp-8 stack for pressure :beer

TNT is a sore subject right now. But if you are willing to wait a while the smarty seems like all you'll need. What is your truck and what have you done?

magic smoke im in the process of getting a 2006 3500 dually, so i have not done anything to it yet because i dont have it. im planning on intake, stacks, i think i have decided on doing a smarty to start off with, then later on down the road some kind of pressure box to stack it with. what kind of hp are you guys pushing with just a smarty and yalls other mods?

Never dynoed mine I would guess around 380 hp. But the 04.5 and up seem to program with alot more power.

No...IMO the TST is not a good stack. It costs way too much to use as just a pressure box...

As for numbers...I dyno'd (Intake, exhaust, SW#5) just under 400hp on a load dyno. Going back shortly to try SW#9 with a pressure box and am hoping for 450 but, who knows.

I love my smarty TST combo. . .granted I can tell I do need a little pressure, but the low end of smarty gets me going nice, then the top end of my TST realy makes her scoot.

I ran the TST/Smarty/EZ stack, HATED IT! Sold the TST since the Smarty will do it all on it's own and the power is much smoother.

so what ive been seeing is that people who dont like the stack usually dont like it becuase its to rough and say that smarty can do the same thing as a stack on its own? so would yall reccomend stacking a smarty with something like MP-8?

If you can get ahold of the TNT-R Smarty software, when it comes out, you won't need anything. Smarty will be able to do everything..but until then, you can get a (strictly) pressure box and run Smarty on even. The two most common are Edge EZ and TS MP-8. There is also the DiabloSport Power Puck and the Quadzilla Xzillaraider and Xzillaraider Race (modded for press only) or you can get the Quadzilla X2 and load it with the "stacker tune", which is strictly pressure :thumbsup

The TST is a huge HP box on it's own. You have to have alot of supporting mods just to get full use of the TST's HP.
I'm running the Smarty now by itself. I really like the low end that it has. I have a pressure box(Puck) that I'm going to install soon. The Smarty by itself is strong on the bottom but seems to fall off at the higher rpms.
With just a little TST turned on, it really helps the truck to keep pulling hard to max rpm. But it does get pretty hot running both the TST and Smarty on a WOT run. I have an SPS-62 and I'm at 1500* by 85 mph on a WOT run. I can turn the TST down a notch and feel the loss of power but keep the EGT's in control.

I think you will be happy with the Smarty and a little pressure. But even then you will need tranny mods to get the full use of the Smarty also.

ok so after the days research i think i have come to the conlusion that if i can get the smarty and the tnt-r software when it comes out i will pretty much be set (with supporting mods of course). as for supporting mods im thinking -fass system -turbo (any ideas for daily driving with moderate towing) -tranny - 90 hp ddp injectors - 5 inch turbo back with stacks - aem hd intake. what do yall think about this set up. ideas? additions? comments? all is helpful. also again thank yall for the help and not being jerks to a new guy.

run the smarty on a evensw# and put the TST on 8/8 , and put the TST on the early twins fueling, and the boost in the off postion, the the puck on either settings, and you can FEEL a difference.will not be good on stock parts 'pecially on stock hair-drier.....but the truck will rip!!that SMARTY is Bad 2 the bone!:thumbsup:peelout

Even with the new TNT-R software a TST still helps for High HP #s. The TST is a top end duration monster. I dont stack anything for DD, but when it comes to the dyno Im gonna keep my TST/Smarty stack.

I use the Smarty/TST all the time. TST allows me to adjust power without having to reflash the truck's computer with the Smarty every time I want different power. When I want great power I will use higher settings on the Smarty and low settings on the TST. When I have the Smarty on lower settings then I play with higher TST settings.

I do like the Smarty better. Seems like the TST has some glitches once in awhile (timing advance automatically changes, power settings automatically change -- usually during start up).

If Smarty was adjustable on the fly with the new programs (rail pressure, timing adustability) then I would sell the TST and use Smarty alone.
