My 97 12 valve is leaking oil around the oil cooler adapter plate where it bolts to the spacer the cooler sets in. Does anyone know where I can get gaskets? Factory wants 140$ for one and 90$ for the other. Just seemed a little high.

Called around yesterday and found some cheaper. 67$ for one and 4$ for the other. So 71$ plus tax isn't bad at all.

hey, question on all that, i have a 98 12v and i keep running into the issue of finding 89-97 oil cooler gaskets, whats the deal with these cause it also labels them as a "encore block"? just need a little help with this.

call a cummins central power of cummins part distributer and give them your block serial code on the tag on the front gear housing. they will get you what you need

I'm needing to a new oil cooler and gaskets for my 97 cummins and I just found a couple on eBay for $150 total. Both gaskets are like $40 total. I can't vouch for what brand they are as I have not done enough research, but at that price, it may be worth a try! Tonight when I get a chance, I plan to be doing some more research on them. Just search for 97 cummins oil cooler and I think you should see the gaskets pop up in the list. Good luck! :thumbsup:
