Hey fellas. We recently bought a 2005 Ram and the PO installed the S&B cold air intake setup. I was doing some routine maintenance (cleaning the air filter) and noticed the bottom of the air box is wide open, you can see right to the ground under the truck ahead of the front wheel. The reason this concerns me is the 2008 Ford power stroke at my work (Town highway Dept) is very prone to snow packing the air filter to the point the thing barely runs if we are plowing drifts on roads in windy conditions. I have googled this subject concerning our Ram pretty extensively with very few results, most of which involve the optional front facing scoop. Should I spend the money on the snow plug for my standard bottom fed airbox or is this not a big issue?? I'm wondering how this will work driving in snowy road conditions.

Thanks!
