I'm going to be purchasing a Genie Boom lift in Seattle. It weighs around 14,000lbs and I need to get it to Portland.

We have a Dodge 5500 and a 20' PJ Gooseneck with 12,000lb axles.

The dodge is registered at 20,000lbs and the trailer is rated for 25,000lbs.

The catch is that I don't have a CDL. Can I haul this home or do I need to just hire a truck to move it for me?

I know that they have been stopping heavy guys in situations like yours and makin them leave there trailer tell someone with a CDL can come get. I personally have never been stopped when being that heavy but then again I am on the eastside instead of the westside. I know this dont really help you but thats what i know.
