I did my stage 1 delete and my 2008 Ram 2500 is not running right. Here's all that was done to my truck before I took it for a test drive on the highway.
1. Unplugged the EGR intake valve.
2. Removed the cross over manifold and installed the round block off plate.
3. Removed the intake valve and installed the block off plate on the intake horn.
4. Unplugged the throttle valve because I read that the default setting for unplugged valve is in the open position. I did not take out the throttle control gear like some people do.

Here's my problem. I drove for about 30 minutes and the red throttle valve light on the dash came on and I lost power (going at about 60 MPH). When I floor the pedal I get power back. It almost feels like the throttle valve closing and choking off the air. Once I stop for awhile and restart the truck the red throttle valve does not come on and at least for awhile the truck runs OK. Has anyone experienced this type of problem? Should I take out the gear in the throttle valve mechanism? I do have the Mini Maxx installed, but I'm not activating the delete programming until I do the DPF delete.

You have to do the dpf delete and install the programming. That's why the truck got the lightning bolt and lost power. This is because you unplugged the butterfly valve in the intake. You HAVE to install the dpf delete and install the programming.

Would I make the situation worst if I program the Mini Maxx before I do the DPF delete? Or should I plug back in the throttle valve now and hold off programming until I have time to do the DPF delete?

Plug the valve back in and hold off.

Not expert advice here but just plug the throttle valve back in and see what happens. With the egr upluged it should not command to close.

From what I have read and it makes sense...if you install a programmer that turns off the dpf and still have the dpf on the truck then your asking for trouble. It will clogged it with no ability to burn it off.

I'm going to plug back in the wiring to the throttle valve until I complete the DPF delete and program the MiniMaxx. Once the MM is programmed, do I need to unplug the throttle valve or do I just leave it alone? Will the MM automatically take care of the throttle valve control with the wiring plugged in?

H&S says not to drive the truck more than 25miles with the dpf present and the programming set to dpf not present.

Set the MM to DPF present. It will do the rest.
