Are any of you running any additives like Powerservice? How often do you use it? What about 2-stroke?

Acetone...is the same as Power Service, but without the Anti-gel agent.
Im a firm believer in Muscle Products FT-10.

Everyone in our area runs this product and find it to work very well at the basics and also add more than enough fuel economy to pay for itself.

We also recently supplied product to a local trucking firm who tested 4 trucks and found that with FT-10 and MT-10 added to the trucks (2 Volvos and 2 Cats) that they went from a 4 truck average of 5.66 MPG to a 4 truck average of 6.44 MPG. With 70 trucks in the fleet we did a spread sheet of cost vs gains and found that his firm will increase profits by over $450,000 in 2008 because of fuel savings.

Results are clear, no freeze ups on Ultra Low Sulfer and increased fuel economy that will way more than pay for the product. Also wear-metels went down significantly. The $450K increase revenue was AFTER the cost of the additives.

OK, I just ordered a case of that stuff from you. Do you add it at every fill or how often?
Has anyone heard of "LUCAS"? Is this the same as FT-10? What can I add other than these two mentioned to increase millage without hurting fuel filters/fuel systems./pumps etc.. on this 07.5 6.7. Its so dam sensitive with everything I don't know what to do. Any suggestions appreciated.

power servive Diesel Kleen + Cetane Boost (gray bottle) contains ethylbenzene and xylene

anti-gel formula
power service Diesel Fuel Supplement + Cetane Boost (white bottle) contains ethylbenzene, xylene and vinyl acetate
Is FT-10 for anti freezing only or can I use it in 100F weather? What is the recommended additive I can use in hot weather for this 6.7? Many thanks.:thumbsup
i wouldnt use anti-gel products if you dont need them. i like power service's diesel kleen. it pays for itself with the better mpg on my 5.9 and it runs quiter. its approved for use in ULSD fuels

I run AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate in every tank. It is working better for me than the Power Service I used for years.

Do not run 2 stroke oil in a 6.7, or any diesel with a DPF system.

That's not really true at all. Acetone might be the carrier that Power Service uses, but it isn't the active ingredient. You may have read the MSDS on Power Service and decided that all diesel additives are is paint thinner, but that's not true. An MSDS is not an ingredient list.

Also, there are additives, including Power Service, that do not include anti-gel copolymers.

FT-10 is a single product solution.

It will serve you to -20 F with Ultra Low Sulfer. Proven and undisputed.
It adds lubrication that is as good as any, and in my opinion better than any. It has MT-10 in the mix. MT-10 is off the charts. Lucas is not even in the same galaxy, let alone in the ball park!
It bumps cetane. Its not a major cetane booster like a straight out performance cetane booster, but the pay-dirt comes from the total package.
It breaks surface tension. FT-10 contains a surfectant that breaks surface tension allowing easier and more complete atomization and burn of the fuel you are spraying.
It breaks down water globules. It allows water to be seperated into miniscule particle that are safely passed though the system without any water globules collecting in the tank.

I have seen folks that were buying 3 seperate additives to try to get what one bottle of FT-10 will do. Its just insanity. If you need to buy a lubrication additive, a cetane additive and a winter blend additive... your additive choice should be reconsidered!

The bottom line is that benifits vs cost vs fuel saved.... nothing with compete with Muscle Products FT-10! Combine that with the MT-10 and its unreal.

As to your order of a case, Im going to call tomorow and try to give you money back and move you to one gallon and one 16 oz bottle. You will get more product for less money. That is what most of our locals do, and the trucking companies buy 55 gallon drums and refill gallon jugs for in the trucks and pour out of plastic measuring cups.

There are many fine additives, I just happen to believe with all of my heart and soul (and testing just about every additive out there!) that the FT-10 is an honest to goodness home-run.

I will be out of touch tomorrow. I have the unfounded joy & happiness of getting 2 of my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow morning at 8:00. Yippee! But if you can dig up my info, go ahead & change it to a gallon & a 16 oz bottle.
So thats why Larry couldn't get ahold of you....lol. Not in the mood to talk on the phone? That sucks! Hope your feeling better! I'll pass the info on to Larry.

Patrick
I didn't do squat today, but I did pm back & forth with Larry, so it should be handled!

Thanks!
Just put Powerservice Diesel Kleen + Cetane Boost (gray bottle) in the tank yesterday. Have about 850 miles of driving this week, will update. On day 1, it does seem to be a bit quieter, which on a 6.7 is not an issue. So far in the first 60 miles the lie-o-meter is a bit higher, about .5 mpg but I hand calc every tank, will know more by Wed night.....stay tuned.
