OK bought my 2nd 6.7 cummins and what a disappointment from the first. to make a long story after fighting with the dealer that I had a power problem I got the truck dynoed and came away with 214hp and 347 torque. I was told by the dealer this is normal and the numbers advertised by dodge are only on paper and have nothing to do with the real world. I say f this. Does any one have ideas on how I can find this lost power before I go out and change intake, exhaust or chip the engine.

Stock 6.7 should do 280-300hp and 500+/- trq (can't remember what they do for trq) A stock 5.9 will do 280hp all day long

Obviously dynoes are different, but those look way low, especially torque

the truck is a quad cab long box dully. I had my 29 ft 5th wheel on the other day weighs less than 10000lbs and got passed by a chev gas pulling a 5th wheel and three quads on another trailer I couldn't get over 45 miles an hour going up a hill. Also what kind of mileage should I get now that I have 8000 k on the truck I get 7.1 towing and 13.2 empty

stick or auto, sounds like you may an issue putting the power to the ground, has it ever given you the feeling of driving on rumble strips, for a second or too, yo may some worn tranny internals.

thanks for the idea yes the truck is a auto tranny and yes it does viberate for a few seconds when you first take off. it feels as if it is from the rear diff but the dealer says all long box dullys will shake abit because of driveshaft length

Hmm really? Well I've driven some obvious factory flawed duallies, because they didn't vibrate at all.

No your truck is jacked up. Sounds like a good candidate for a converter or some clutches
