hey guys, I posted on here about a power steerinp on my grandfathers truck and I can not find the post so I am going to try again. He is thinking about buying a new power steering pump. before he buys one just wanted to see if any one could help me out. The things that this truck is doing just as if you had a trailer on it loaded imprproperly when going through a corner the tail wants to come around very hard to steer we put some new power steering fluid in it and seemed a little better and the next day it was doing the same thing by the way this is a 2000 quad cab auto 3/4 ton.

sorry guys Im at work and we had a Emergency call

hey guys my grandfather says it wont come to center it seems like to him that it does it at high and low speeds if he tightens the adjustment on the gear box it helps the walkin but it makes it harder to steer seems like you have to gerk it back. just had brand new tires and has been alighned several times he has put a steering stabalizer shock.

Get a new steering box. I'm betting that's worn out. The pumps on these trucks are pretty dang good.

×2 also check the seal on the power steering box for leaks sounds like your out of fluid. if you can just replace the seal and add more fluid that would be cheaper than replacing the whole box. hope this helps:thumbsup

As a tire shop but the camber and caster effect the return of the steer wheel. :w:

But yes a power valve isssue in the steering gear box can do the same...
