The power steering pump went out on me back in the spring, so had a new pump installed. Now it's back to taking longer than it should to build up pressure. The funny thing is the fluid reservoir is where it should be. Where should I start looking for the problem?

You may have an airlock in the system. I had the devil's own time getting mine to fill, fill it and 2 days later it was low again.
Finally put the front end up on blocks and kept turning lock to lock and filling, took about 1/2 hour of fiddling but haven't had a problem since.

Yep, raise front tires off the ground and do the back and forth thing for quite a while.

Shop says they're getting lots of air out, but the steering doesn't get any easier as they keep topping up the resevoir. We've got a new filter on order, and then they are recommending a new high pressure line. I'm not optimistic about the problem being solved before the snow arrives on Sunday. GRRR.
