ok guys, I know I've read about this somewhere. I'm about to replace my PS gearbox (on my 3rd one) but before I do... is there some sort of brace to stiffen up things? or did I dream this one up?

Would I call it big? No. I'd call it very noticeable though. Well worth the money.

I'm down either way if it'll keep me from throwing gearboxes at it...

Man from what I seen on those pictures looks like it was welded by a fifth grader. Im might consider making my own. Because my box needs replaced also.

I sent 'em an e-mail almost 2 months ago inquiring if they made a brace for my '07.5. Never got a response. I'll check with Extreme I guess

hey BB can you fill out a review?

I like my DSS, just got it a few weeks ago and I had no idea how much slop is in our steering systems.

Just curious, who actually came up with this idea....Sollid Steel or Windecker ? Seems as tho both claim to be the makers of it?

why not just spend the money on the one form xtreme its soo much easier, and probably cheaper in the end as well because having the powder coating done, welding done, finding the bearing and making the adapter, plus all the time you would put into it, does that still make it worthwhile.

I could prolly make one for 60 bucks. IMO thats pretty good savings if you think about. It just dont like buy to things if i can make it on my own.

I doubt there's $60 in these things. Mine's nothing more than some angle iron, a piece of square tubing, and some flat stock with holes in it. The only part I see being a pain is the longer pitman arm nut.

Both companies are in Canada that's mentioned in this thread, one gave me a price of $235 plus shipping, he other has $169 plus shipping on their website. Guess I know which one i'll order from if I decide to get it. :w:
