2001 dodge 2500 Just installed a raptor 150gph lift pump, getting from 17- 20psi idling and 13 -16 full throttle. Drove perfectly fine all day yesterday got home let it sit for bout two hours and cranked it back up and engine is knocking only when in drive, reverse and neutral, idles perfect when in park. It's like it has no power when u get on it, maybe dead peddle? Stomped on it and would go to about 30 and bout 5 or 10 secs later would catch up and haul a$$, need suggestions on if this sounds like a vp failure, still getting boost from turbo all the way up to 30 psi and fuel pressure is still right around 16-17 when on it.
What do I need to check to tell me exactly?

Thanks in advanced,

Had to take my other truck to work but I did mess with my map sensor to put the lift pump on so I will check the map and clean it when I get to my truck tonight, I have tryed many of times to do the(on off on off on) code trick and it never seems to work for me, I will check the codes with my edge and see of anything pops up on there

Cleaned and checked the map sensor nothing wrong there, threw three codes 2 that im very familiar with now P-1693, P-0216, P-1690(Not really sure what this one is all about - Fan Control Relay)??? Guess id better be digging deep in the pocket and ordering me a new vp, any suggestions on weather or not I should just keep to a stock rubuilt one or upgrade to a hot rod or just a simple upgrade from bluechipdiesel?

try lowering the fuel pressure. Some pumps do not like higher than 17psi.

It may hard start if you have more than 8-10 psi at starting.

We have VP44' we can ship if you need one.

coalroller12 Why are you not returning my pm? It's been over a week since money was sent, didn't want to put this out on the forums but taking money and giving invalid tracking numbers is a sign of a bad deal. Do the right thing and ship what I paid for or send money back
