I had a sick battery in my 98 last winter that set a bunch of codes when I tried to crank it. The engine made less than one revolution and the starter stalled. The check engine light came on when I let go of the starter. I replaced the batteries then checked and erased the codes. That was several thousand miles ago and the codes have not returned.

You need to replace both batteries at the same time... What happens is the older battery drags down the new one. So this shortens the lifespan of the new battery quickly...:thud:
