Checked for codes on my truck its running fine but has a 0483 code. Any Ideas and how do you clear a code?

Before you clear it, did you check your fan clutch ???

0483 is the fan clutch. If it's running fine and the fan works as it should. I would leave it. My truck throws that code everytime I check it, for about 5 years now.

I'm gonna quite worrying about this truck I bought it used and used scares me. Wentt out and looked it over started it up and it runs strong it idles smooth its quiet. All the wires look good.

You probably are correct.
There are a couple diagnostic checks that can be done to be sure the fan isn't bad.
I had the code, truck ran perfect. No problem with overheating , etc.
My A/C however, wasn't working correctly.
Put on a new OEM fan clutch.....A/C works now, and the code went away after a couple starts.

What are the diagnostic checks I can do? I've been listen for the fan and I can't ever hear it running it spins at idle but probably free spinning. My old 12v you knew when that fan was running it was loud. It is winter up here but my 97 would run even in winter.

When your fan kicks on, you will know it, without a doubt !!!
