Well i went to go plug my turbo yesterday just to see what it would do figured if it was too much i would just hook the waste gate back up. But when i went to take out the elbow it pulled the threads out with it. I was able to chase the threads and put the plug in didnt seal the best so i put some high temp rtv around it. The truck spools quicker and hold higher boost but not as much as i though, i max out at 28-30 psi, is this normal since i dont have a boost fooler and im defueling?

Sounds right to me. But once you get a boost fooler, you might be able to over boost your hx. I wouldn't run more then 35 lbs out of it. Might wanna put in an adjustable boost elbow and just dial it closed. That way you can open it to drop boost if needed down the road

What's a boost fooler? Does it trick the computer into adding more fuel to the engine?

It tricks the computer into thinking its not reaching max boost and keeps the truck from defueling pretty much all programers do it or you can just get a boost fooler for like 60 bucks
