:shock:I just installed a new vgt in my truck. It didn't work right, so I called the company and they told me to put my stock actuator on it instead of the new one, because it wasn't programed for my truck. ( I cant get a dodge dealer to even touch this thing since my egr is removed and my dpf delete and all.) I've put the actuator on and off 5 times now, tried the actuator arm one gear tooth different at a time and it still doesn't work. I'm gettin ticked, somethins gonna fly yet. Any advice before I throw a wrench through the wall?:banghead::confused013::banghead:

You need to find a delete friendly dealership. Or you need to find an aftermarket shop with a scan tool.

Do some digging through the VGT cleaning threads and someone spoke of a way to get it to work. I think it was Superduty. Either way they are a professional mechanic that do alot of cleaning and repairing of these things. Honestly I would think that if you pull your old actuator off and install it on the new turbo that you would be fine. Dont mess with the actuator but move the turbo to mate up to the actuator. This should work as the old turbo should have defaulted to its begining point before shutoff. Remember it cycles all the way before going to rest.

okay, thanks for the suggestions, I've tried all those now. I dont know if I told when it went bad. maybe this'll raise another idea out there. I always run my truck on mild. (H&S xrt pro). It worked great for a week, then on the weekend I turned it up to wild. Worked for about a day, then the turbo started acting up. I changed the new acturator out for my old one, tried putting the truck back to stock and reprogramming it again. Didnt work. Now the only code that comes up says mass air flow input low. One more question and this shows my stupidity just cause of how I have to ask it. On the top of the air intake(were the change filter gauge is) there are two sensors. If you look on the inside, one is just a short little wire gaurded by about 1/2 inch of plastic, the other one looks kinda like a white plastic scoop about 1 1/2 inch long. Does that big one have a little wire on the side of it? It looks like there are a number of little clips for one, but there's no wire there. Just wondered if mine broke and maaayyybeee could be causing some problemos? I've also read somewhere that there are a number of things that could malfunction to cause the vgt not to cycle, but I cant remember what they were or where I found them. :S:
