I'm about ready to pull the trigger on one of these myself, I've been reading posts on all the different options out there and from what I'm hearing this sounds like the way to go!! :hyper: I'd be interested to hear down the road what kind of MPG increase (if any) you have seen. So it sounds like this thing may be worth the :$: ay? I hope it treats you well. I'll check back for updates. :peelout

ive had my smarty for about 2 weeks and found that I am getting the best mileage on sw#7...went from about 18.5 /19 ish stock to 21.3 on this tank on the readout. I know, i know, the digital readout is full of poo but it is a good baseline reminder wathcing me run from the SMOKE!

Anyone actually see a huge difference in the hand calc and the digital avg mpg???

Good to hear! Glad you are all happy with the Smarty. :thumbsup

I'm looking into some "mild" tranny upgrades from Farmboysdiesel.

After that, I'll probably add some air in the form of a turbo from Gus also.

Don't worry so much about what level you are on, as long as your truck likes it, run it!

I usually leave my Smarty on level 3, Moderate torque, because it's kind of a no brainer. EGT's, tranny temps etc are always in line, and I can tow with it without worries.

I've played with some of the higher settings, but because of my nature, I spend more time sweating and worrying about guage readings instead of enjoying the drive.(The upper levels seem to create more heat than I'm willing to put up with...)

FWIW, Empty, unloaded, around town I see around 19 on the overhead. This compares to 15-17MPG pre Smarty.

Yeah, I'm sold.

JMHO, The beauty of the Smarty is that after your initial investment, there is PLENTY of room to grow. You simply will not outgrow this programmer!

Good luck all!

Hey Jeeper,

Do you have the auto or the 6spd? So you haven't had any issues running sw# on what appears to be a fairly stock truck? I'm curious on your decision to go S-06 vs Jr since i'm on the fence? Is it worth the extra :$: $200ish in your oppinon?:beer

best milage i had seen with the smarty was a hand calculated 19.1mpg. this was all country road driving and no highway miles and running 4.11 sw9 and wild tm. i haven't put on enough miles with tnt to get an average. but on my first fill up i did get 18.5 hand calculated. i ran sw7 tm3 rp3 and i was hammering on it. :peelout oh by the way i had the stock turbo w/ the 4.11 and htt w/ the tnt.

just do a search for smarty. you will be hard pressed to find any negative feedback. it is by far the best programmer on the market today. do your pocket book a favor and spend the money on smarty now, instead of buying something else just to have to turn around and sell it later for a smarty

Hey Smoke,

Does the Revo have an economy tune or is it all go? Have you seen a difference in mileage? Just curious what setting your running?:beer

I'm careful when towing....I have the tipple disc and VB but the input shaft concerns me.......
It's amazing how low the egt's are towing with the power cranked up...:thumbsup

Hey Smoke,

there is a standard revo and revo tnt. the standard revo is basically like the 4.11, except with a bunch of adjustability. (On level 9 you'll see about an extra 170hp). the revo tnt starts off at 100hp and works it's way up to about 230hp (depending on you mods). i don't think the standard revo an "economy" tune per say but a lot of people run on the lower settings (between 3-5) and claim very nice gains. i personally love the power so i've never even tried the lower settings:peelout. i'm currently running tnt sw9 and have been trying to use a light foot. So far i have a little over 300mi on almost half a tank, so it's looking like i should get around 19-20mpg this time. (i think if i remember correctly i was seeing around 17 when i was stock) i live out in the country so i don't do any highway driving, just twisty turny country roads. I personally think that it comes down to driving style. if you drive like a fomula 1 racer, then you're not gonna see that much of a gain. but if you drive conservatively then the gain can be pretty substancial. i hope this helps:thumbsup

I have been running 411 wild sw #9, EZ 2. I have made several trips back and forth between Spokane and Helena, hand calculated 18+ mpg consistantly.

This is at 70/75+, 3 mountain passes, and sometimes some fairly rotten weather. (with a few WOT runs:lol3:)

I have been reluctant to download the new revo, because I am so darn pleased with the 411 software.

Having tried different programmers and boxes, In my judgement, Smarty is by far the best product, with the best support on the market today!
