Hey guys, maybe I'm not finding the info on other threads or it's not on here. But here's the deal. I have 2 "messages" on my EVIC; 1 is the parking sensor issue; 1 is Perform Service. I don't have a CEL and my Smarty shows nothing stored when scanned. I'm fully deleted. I've checked all sensor plugs I can think of. I just had the parking recall done but this message was showing up prior. So I can rule that out. Has anyone else had this pop up? Do I need a dealer to scan for deeper embedded codes? My rig isn't operating any differently and I haven't noticed anything out of the norm.

I have a similar issue with my 08. Perform service comes on randomly between 800 and 1500 miles. CCv filter has been changed every year. In my case my mini max said "no dtc's detected", but in the engine screen when it prompts me to erase anyway I do and it is gone for a while. 75k miles since delete

More than likely a CCV reminder to replace the filter. Once you replace the filter, youtube the rest procedure as i dont know that off the top of my head. That should clear out the reminder.

Did you use a real scan tool? Smarty will not see everything.

CCV pops the perform service message without setting a CEL. reset is key-on, brakes fully depressed slowly twice, followed by accel full depress twice, key off. IIRC.

No. I just used the Smarty. But I did the magic reset foot dance. Seems to have taken care of the message.
