 well i just got my truck back from an extended stay at my local dealer for a 2262. when i dropped it off on Tuesday the service manager walked up to me and said well its going to take 3-4 days. i asked him how he could tell it was going to take that long and he said that the entire exhaust including the EGR would have to be removed. all thiss was before he had even put the star scan tool on the truck. I guess his crystal ball was working really good. well anyway i got my truck back on Friday and as soon as i started to drive it i noticed that it felt a little more responsive and i liked it. but thats not my grip, my grip is that i lost about 7 miles a gallon:CRY: i dropped from 20.3MPG to 13.1MPG. this i BS if knew that them cleaning out the soot buildup was going to reduce my mileage i would have never taken it in. im glad that i ordered my DPF delete from Lyle at BADP i hope it gets my mileage back.

Sound like your crystal ball says the mileage has dropped . How did you verify it has dropped so far so fast:rof:rof

Check your work order. I'll bet they reflashed the CCN. Not sure if you ever hand calculated your mileage before, but I know since they reflashed mine last week, it reads much lower, but more accurate than it used to. It always read about 2+ mpg than I actually got. Plus, from what I know the latest flash has the truck regen more frequently but for shorter periods of time which is supposed to help those that have extended idling issues.

crystal ball is working and by hand calc i am getting 6.2 miles less. yes i know that one day is not enough but when you consider how much i drive and its the same distance to and from and there was no speed increase there should be no decrease in fuel mileage. this is just wrong.

how do i make sure that my truck is running theh most current flash update, is there a way to check this?

Well, there's really no way to tell other than your paperwork, but the new flash does regen more often and you could have just caught it on a regen cycle.

I'd give it some time and see what happens.

i go to the dealer tomorrow for the same crap! ive been on the phone every other day with chrysler tryin to get a buyback and it came down to "well lets see if these parts that are ordered will fix ur truck". so as u can guess im not a happy camper. and by the way it took 3 weeks for my parts to come in. also on the rear sliding window i have a coating that is pealing off and after about a month and a half after they order it i still have not got a call back with an appt. set up. As you can tell im not a very satisfied dodge owner!!

In Texas on a buy back you'll have to pay for the miles driven before your first trip to the service shop and a different rate after your problem was confirmed by your stealership. Mine came out to be 18 cents x 1500mi and 12cents therafter. It was about 4k that the stealership wanted me to pay so they can buy my truck back.... Thats just crazy and I declined, so they offered a 100000mi/5yr warranty for every part on the truck with a rental car for up to 5 days, so I took that deal.
