I would bet you have a wiring issue and there just not bright enough to figure that out...

hmmm change the pedal, and it still does it

change the ecm, and it still does it

Could it possibly be a wire not working between the 2.... I would bet, i would have bet that since it was intermitent to begin with...

My truck has a similar issue with the radio... Hit a bump and it gets slightly lower, driver over a curb and the sound is back...

Unfortunately having a life time warranty does not have any restitution for my days of life lost waiting for a building full of fools to fix my truck.... so i have to do it myself.... sucks doesn't it...

Next vehicle i buy i am going to try and write in a restitution clause, i bring in a truck , you give me a truck , the exact truck to use while you dick around trying to play mechanic, or i get to beat the service manager as my temper flares at any point from not having my truck....

There are very.... yeah VERY few mechanics...

Lots of code readers and parts changers, but mechanics.... you are out of luck on that, case in point , just reread this thread, wth happened to checking things 1st......

IM waiting for the day when, they change the vehicle, oh we changed the pedal anmd then the ecm and then we still couldn't figure it out so here is a different vehicle, this should fix it now...
