Good afternoon!!
I have an intermittent miss, more prevalent at lower speeds. Take off gently from a light and it’ll miss. May happen may not but more often it will throw the p0336 crank sensor code.
I have had multiple new crank sensors on it and a new ecm (stealership installed) but the issue still remains.

I have a smarty on it but the issue happens stock or tuned.

The truck is an 03, with some minor add ons. Nothing that would cause this

If y’all have any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank!!

2 thoughts.

1. Harmonic Balancer been checked?

2. IIRC the wiring to the AC Compressor shares the same reference line as the crank and cam sensor. So any of the 3 could technically have an issue. So double check the wiring to the A/C compressor to make sure it's good as it's a known wear spot, if it's good, then could consider replacing the cam sensor. Could be it's the one actually going bad.

Only crank sensor code?
Then I would double check for good sensor, resistance test, should ohm out at 900-1100 ohms.
Then test sensor ground wire from crank sensor pin 2 to ECM connector C1, pin 52 should be less then 10 ohms
shaking wire harness while testing if intermittent.
