2013 ram 2500 6.7 died while driving code P008A - Low Fuel Pressure Fuel System Pressure - Too Low
Lift pump tested good with over 10psi and new filters still didn't fix low fuel pressure in rail around 50psi instead off 4500+psi required to start
Took it to dealership and after 8 days they told me it's lift pump in tank low volume of fuel delivered to cp3 and they wanted $1600 so I towed truck back home and replaced lift pump
Same problems low pressure in rail
I removed cp3 pump and found out that shaft broke off in pump
Replaced cp3 pump and problem is fixed no more p008a code

wow. thats surprising to have a pump failure like that with that low of miles

Also shows the incompetence of dealer mechanics when they "diagnosed" the wrong fuel pump

Only comment is, it wasn't your lucky day. Seems the CP3 is about the most bulletproof high pressure pump to date. Very uncommon, buying lottery tickets the day that happened would have been a waste based on your luck.
Glad you were able to get it fixed yoruself. Saved you a bunch of $$.

I left review on Google for dealership that give me wrong diagnosis for fuel pump and dealership call me apologizing and offer to pay for my two towing bills plus diagnostic fee and lift pump that I replaced $787.36 and ask me if I can remove review 😅
