Do like most people put aftermarket gauges on the factory gauges are hard to read and not always accurate.

You could have a bad thermostat.

Is the cooling system full? Are you getting heat in the cab? If yes to both those replace the thermostat first.

yeah cooling system is full, temperatures flucuate very quickly, doesnt overheat with heat on full in cab, blows hot air, but rad feels cold if you touch it ( can take the cap off without any overflowing or burning) heres a video of my blow by at full temp. seems like a little too much

If the rad is cold when your heater is blowing hot, you better check your rad for flow and your water pump

If you are getting heat in the cab the water pump is pumping and the system is full. If the rad is cold and this symptom came up suddenly, the thermostat is not opening properly. Replace with a Cummins thermostat or you will likely find that the temp climbs quite high initially before the stat opens then drosp way down. It will then climb again, this time not as far and will not drop as far when it opens. This cycling will go on for a few rounds until it evens out. Apparently Cummins stats don't do this.

You will see more blowby with it running hot than you will running cold. The oil is hotter and thinner. Unless you overheated it badly when you lost coolant there is likely no correlation. What most often is the case is that we don't look under th hood very often and when something like this comes up to cause us to look at things a little closer you see things you didn't see before.

ok,tomorrowI will order the t-stat and start with that, as for the blow by, is that to excessive?
There's no spec for what's excessive. When you're adding more oil than fuel, yeah you might want to look at it. In my opinion, if you're not adding an excessive amount of oil and it's starting fine you still have adequate compression. But everyone's tolerance is different.

changed oil about 3000kms ago even after adding up my oil pan/ front crank seal leaks, my oil level is still perfect!

however my coolant levels do change, (not a lot) but noticable. i do know my coolant leaks cause ive seen drips in the snow, the white smoke out the dipstick wouldnt be coolant in my oil would it? i mean it would probably have to be a lot of coolant to do that? maybe i should do some kind of compression test..

Or do a oil sample test to see if there is water in the oil.
